“We do not pray in order to control God. We pray in order to become new within ourselves, to see differently, to see right.”
[Joan Chittister, The Monastic Way]
Prayer is such a personal conversation. We may be telling, or asking, or thanking. And then there is the silent prayer.
“In prayer it is better to have a heart without words,” Mahatma Gandhi said, “than words without a heart.”
May we silently speak the prayers in our hearts.
