“Is devotion to others a cover for the hungers and needs of self, of which one is ashamed? I was always ashamed to take. So I gave. It was not a virtue. It was a disguise.”

[Anais Nin]

Disguises are the costumes we wear for the life-play we compose. Fortunately, we can take them off.

“Before we began to get healthier, we always were the first to go the extra mile. We were sure we were indispensable…”, writes Anne Wilson Schaef. “When we  take care of ourselves, we quit before we are forced to our knees.”

May you be blessed to know that who you truly are blesses the world.
