“For memory, we use our imagination. We take a few strands of real time and carry them with us, then like an oyster, we create a pearl around them.”
[John Banville]

We like to retain good memories. Those we can reflect on with peace and happiness. Our life, however. is full of many types of memories, and we desire to put those that create pain or sadness in a place of understanding.
“Gratitude changes the pangs of memory into a tranquil joy,” Dietrich Bonhoeffer writes.

May gratitude bless each experience in our lives.
