“It was the small things that helped, taken one by one and savored.”
[Rumer Godden]

There are times in all our lives when we are overtaken by an invisible cloud, one that lingers and diminishes our energy and reserves. In those times, I choose to live only in the present and know that in time, I will be able to move past it’s shadow.
“In severe seasons of heartache we are asked to protect and care for ourselves like vulnerable children” Julia Cameron writes in Transitions, “taking a childlike delight in the tiny joys of life.”

There is goodness in each day to be found; truly awakening our senses, even beneath the cloud covers.
I give thanks for the moments in our days that bring Light into our lives, and ask that we would all be blessed to see and feel the goodness.
