“Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.”
When we weave we take raw sheep shear, and blend it together to make the thread we weave with. We are already the blending of multiple hairs before we become the thread, before we become the web.
“My humanity is bound up in yours,” said Desmond Tutu, “for we can only be human together.”
May we be blessed to embrace the humanity within our artistry.
