“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could… Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”

[Ralph Waldo Emerson]

I picture Ralph Waldo Emerson, the essayist, standing at his lectern in front of the class sternly advising us to not …“be encumbered with your old nonsense!”

And I sit at my wooden desk as if given permission to open my mind and harness my courage…

“For all the sadness of closure,” Mary Casey promises, “there is a new and joyful unfolding in the process of becoming.”

May each day bless us to embrace the unfolding.
