When we create vacuums we are intent on keeping something in, or fastidiously trying to keep something out. Our walls are an illusion to the world we are hiding from.
“A vacuum isn’t just emptiness” Anne Wilson Schaef writes in Meditations for Women Who Do Too Much. “It is the absence of something, and if it were not encased in its walls, a vacuum would not be possible.”
