“A garden must combine the poetic and the mysterious with a feeling of serenity and joy.”
[Luis Barragan]

In her poem Flowering, Linda Buckmaster describes this phenomena exquisitely…
“Grow a life here
from wind, rain, and the memories
of ancients embedded in limestone.
The bees will use you for their sweet honey.
The rock will soften under your touch. You will
draw moisture from the fog
and hold it. Your presence
will build soil.”

May we be blessed to grow beautifully from the soil of our lives.
