Sally Gallot-Reeves believes children with special gifts are often misunderstood and has created a story to highlight their unique abilities and the conflicts that arise navigating the traditional world. She writes, “Behind the Open Door: The Book of Light” (published by Balboa Press), the first of a five-part series, unveiling the journey of 8-year-old Cassie Murphy, a highly gifted and telepathic child with her invisible dog and friend Patrik (There is no “C”).

Cassie’s unique abilities uncover the secret past of their home in Maine, its connection with the elemental kingdom, vibrational forces of nature, and with the angelic realm. Her talents and behaviors are not well understood, and her story revolves around the two worlds in which she lives: her experiences in the dynamics of her family, school and social spheres of the traditional world, and her adventures with Patrik through portals to multiple dimensions. Here, they discover the secrets of the house Cassie lives in and how each of their abilities can be used to open and connect the minds and hearts of both worlds.

The publication of “Behind the Open Door: The Book of Light” aims for readers to see themselves in the characters, relate to the dynamics and situations in the story, feel the emotions of the conflicts, explore their own perceptions and beliefs and expand their conscious awareness beyond their present knowing.
